Clinic Overview

The OAR Spay/Neuter Clinic is a high-quality, high-volume, low-cost spay/neuter clinic modeled after Humane Alliance clinics. We perform spay/neuter surgeries Monday-Friday. Our veterinary staff is fully licensed, and trained in high-volume spay/neuter. Your cat will be in skilled and caring hands during its visit.

When you spay or neuter a cat in your care, you make a commitment not only to the health and wellness of that cat, but also to the welfare of companion animals in your community as a whole.  This routine medical procedure helps control pet overpopulation while contributing to the prevention of medical and behavioral problems.

Non-Transport Appointments

Spay/neuter surgeries are done by appointment - use our convenient e-appointment request form by clicking on the button below. Note that you must request an appointment for each cat separately.

LIMIT 4 OWNED CATS per household per appointment day. Any on-line appt requests over this limit for a particular day will be rejected.

Cats that are brought to the clinic in Cincinnati should be dropped off at 8am on the morning of surgery. Cats recuperate at the clinic, and must be picked up the following morning at the clinic at 7:30am. Cats who have surgery on Friday will be released the same day, on Friday afternoon at 2:30pm.

Neuterville Express Transport Appointments

For residents that live in outlying areas, we offer a transport service to make our service more convenient for you. Cats on transports require appointments. Use this form to request an appointment. Cats that are taking our Neuterville Express transport van should be dropped off at the transport location between 6:30-7:00am, unless otherwise noted. Cats can be picked up the next morning, at the transport location at 9:30am unless otherwise noted.

Feral/Semi-Feral Cats

One or two feral/semi-feral cats in traps per household per day may be brought into the clinic without an appointment during select days and times. Always check the current week's schedule for the most current information, as walk in spots are first come first serve. Each cat must come in its own trap.  This includes kittens.  For the safety of the staff and the cats, there are no exceptions to this one-cat-per-trap  rule. Feral/semi-feral cats who arrive at the clinic after 10am Monday-Thursday may be held overnight for surgery the following day.

Cats who have surgery Monday through Thursday recuperate at the clinic, and must be picked up the following morning at the clinic at 7:30am. Cats who have surgery on Friday will be released the same day, on Friday afternoon between 2:30PM. Feral cats who have surgery on Friday (this may happen when a feral cat has an appointment on Friday) must be kept in a climate-controlled area overnight on Friday before release.

If you would like to bring in more than two feral/semi-feral cats on a given day, you must contact our clinic in advance to set up an appointment to ensure we have space on the schedule.   As of January 1st 2018, all feral/semi-feral cats in traps brought in for surgery without appointment will be ear-tipped, no exceptions.
