Raised: $1345!!!!!!

Four brave ladies will jump into freezing Antarctic waters to benefit OAR if they reach their goal of $500 in donations to OAR!  Update - they are now hoping to raise $1000 for the cats!

Hello! I'm Jessica, and I've been an OAR volunteer for nearly 5 years. My friends and I wanted to do something to raise money for my favorite charity, so we dreamed up the 2017 Antarctic Plunge!

Ana, Marsha, and Renee and I have traveled the world together in the last few years. Our first big trip as a group was to Africa in 2012, staying in Cape Town South Africa, Sabi Sands & Kruger National Parks in South Africa and Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe/Zambia. Our next trip was to Australia (Ayers Rock, Sydney and Great Barrier Reef) and New Zealand (Rotorua and Wellington) in 2014. We love to travel and are thrilled to visit Chile and Antarctica in January 2017.

As part of our Antarctica expedition, we will have the opportunity to participate in an Antarctic Plunge (Brrrr). We will be on board Quark’s Sea Adventurer from Saturday, January 21 to Saturday, January 28, 2017. Please consider sponsoring one or all of us to complete the Antarctic Plunge. We will share the photo of us jumping into the super cold Antarctic waters and maybe some post plunge.

Thank you for considering sponsoring us to "Antarctic Plunge" and supporting a great organization at the same time! Use the "donate" button above to sponsor us for the Antarctic Plunge!

This donation is nonrefundable even if we are unable to reach our goal amount or unable to complete the Antarctic Plunge because of unforeseen circumstances.

The Ohio Alleycat Resource & Spay/Neuter Clinic is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to enrich the lives of cats and communities in Greater Cincinnati by providing low-cost, high-quality spay/neuter services for ferals, strays and pets; offering TNR (trap-neuter-return) and other outreach programs; and running a no-kill adoption center dedicated to finding loving homes. Right now, we have about 90 cats waiting for adoption and in 2015 OAR adopted a record breaking 481 cats to their forever homes.  OAR’s clinic has performed over 10,000 Spay/Neuter surgeries in 2016. Last year, the clinic introduced a vaccine and wellness clinic where tame cats can receive vaccines, parasite treatment, and microchips at a very affordable rate. While OAR understands they will not be able to adopt out all cats who come into their care, OAR strives to adopt more each year. As of December 12, 2016, we have adopted out 520 cats and kittens to their forever homes. Thank you for your support.
