How You Can Help the Hurricane Cats!

A team from from Ohio Alleycat Resource & Spay/Neuter Clinic left Cincinnati On 8/31/19 and are currently driving to the region affected by Hurricane Dorian to take 25 to 30 cats from an already at-capacity shelter.

As part of the trip, our team is bringing vaccines, preventative medications and other medical treatment in order to help the areas preparing for disaster relief.

Despite our shelter being currently full, we are setting up an emergency adoption and foster center in an overflow area in our clinic. Once processed, the cats will be placed in foster homes to prepare them for adoption into forever homes.

 You can help!

  • Any donations of cat litter, cleaning supplies, or monetary support are greatly appreciated. For a full list of items to donate, as well as a link to donate money directly, those interested should visit ohioalleycat.org/donate.
  • We need fosters for both these cats and other cats not quite ready for adoptions.  Email foster@ohioalleycat.org if you can help.
  • Adopt a cat or spread the word about our $10 adoption special.  We are trying to make room for these extra cats in our shelter. View our cats here.

These cats are depending on the generosity of the Cincinnati community to save them from the storm and find them permanent, loving homes.

We thank all of our volunteers, fosters and supporters who pulled together to make this special rescue happen.
