Let your inner artist shine while supporting Ohio Alleycat Resource’s (OAR) fundraising event: OARt -- Virtual Art Auction, Monday, March 22nd to Saturday, March 27th.  More than 100 items available and a wide range of price points, the auction will highlight art in all forms including:

  • Local artists, such as Caroline Williams, Charley Harper, John Ruthven, Warren May, etc.
  • Animal-themed artwork including photography, paintings, drawings, pottery and other commissioned pieces
  • One-of-a-kind kitten sized art from our special furry OAR resident contributors
  • Unique art experiences such as a private virtual concert by artist Elijah Boessenbrok, a commissioned mural or pet painting, and Shirley Temple collectible items
  • ‘Buy It Now’ options for custom art of your own pet!
  • Raffle for a chance to win a mobile painting party.

While the pandemic has closed our doors to group activities, OAR and our volunteers have been working tirelessly to better the lives of the cats in our care; to provide Spay/Neuter services for the Greater Cincinnati community, and find forever homes for cats through virtual adoption and adoption appointments. We also recognize that the impacts extend farther than just our community, so we’ve been lending a helping hand in Texas by rescuing over 100 cats from several shelters. To help commemorate these cats we have named each of them after an artist or art related theme. These furry artists will help introduce you to and guide you through the OARt Virtual Auction!

Are the cats in the photos available for adoption?

The cats in the photos to promote the event are OAR cats however we are actively working to place each cat with a loving home as quickly as possible.  Therefore, we cannot guarantee that each cat used will be available at the time of inquiry, but there are many other OAR cats in need of loving homes and are available through our application process.
