Meow Like a Pirate Contest

(eye patch and parrot optional)

  1. Create a video of you and/or your cat meowing like a pirate!
    • The cat must belong to you, a family member or friend – nothing downloaded from the internet!
    • The video must be 90 seconds or less
  2. Upload the video on your Facebook page, start a Facebook Fundraiser with Ohio Alleycat Resource & Spay/Neuter Clinic (OAR) as the beneficiary, tag #MeowLikeAPirate AND #OhioAlleycat and make it public so everyone can see it.  To do this:
    • Create a post on your Facebook page.
    • Tell your friends you’re helping to raise money for OAR by Meowing Like a Pirate.
    • Add the #MeowLikeAPirate AND #OhioAlleycat hashtag to the description. 
    • Upload your video.
    • In the “Add to your post” section click “Raise Money” in the more section.
    • Choose “Ohio Alleycat Resource & Spay/Neuter Clinic.
    • Post your video as Public so everyone can see and encourage your friends to donate!
    • Running into issues? Try logging out and back into Facebook.
  3. The contest will begin on September 19th at 9:00 a.m. Eastern Standard time and end on September 24th at 9:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.  
  4. The video that raises the most donations will win these prizes: Hyde & EEK! Boutique Pirate Ship Cat Scratcher Toy, Refillable Organic Catnip Cat Toys - Rum Bottle and Aztec Coin, Pirate’s Booty Aged White Cheddar Cheese Puffs, Pirate’s Booty Cheddar Blast Cheese Puffs, and Tortuga Moonshine Apple Pie Cake. 
  5. The winners will be announced on September 24th at 9:30pm Eastern Standard time on the Ohio Alleycat Resource & Spay/Neuter Clinic Facebook page. In case of a tie, OAR will randomly select the winner from the participants who tied with the highest total.
